M. Sc. Gina Roosen
Psychological Psychotherapist
In a supportive and resource-oriented manner, I will help you recognize, understand, and change your behavioral patterns. With my many years of professional experience, I aim to support you in this process. Together, as a team and on equal footing, we will develop concrete self-help strategies to enhance your self-efficacy and improve your self-care. Along the way, we can also be creative and laugh together.
The core of my work is to strengthen your social competence and boost your self-esteem. We will work together to build your self-confidence, set clearer boundaries, and stand up for your own needs – without losing sight of others' needs. I will guide you in developing an empathetic and respectful approach toward yourself and those around you.
The focus of my work is to enhance your social skills and strengthen your self-esteem. Together, we work on boosting your self-confidence, setting clear boundaries, and advocating for your own needs—without losing sight of the needs of others. I support you in developing an empathetic and appreciative approach toward yourself and your environment.
The therapy process begins with a non-binding introductory meeting in which we discuss your concerns and goals.
Taking the first step can be the beginning of strengthening your mental health. Feel free to contact me via email or phone, and we will arrange an initial consultation. You will receive a digital intake form in advance.
In our first session, we will get to know each other and address any questions you have about psychotherapy. You can share your concerns and goals, and I will provide you with an initial assessment. Based on this, we will develop a personalized therapy plan to offer you new perspectives and specific strategies.
A precise diagnosis is the foundation for effective therapy and selecting appropriate therapeutic methods. Through conversations and questionnaires, we will assess your symptoms, and I will transparently explain your diagnosis. This will help you become an expert in your own challenges.
In weekly 50-minute sessions, we will work together to address the root causes of your patterns and develop a better understanding of your thoughts and emotions. I combine proven methods of behavioral therapy with mindfulness-based, emotion-focused approaches, as well as elements of schema therapy and dialectical-behavioral therapy.
Behavioral therapy is a scientifically validated therapeutic approach that aims to identify and replace learned negative thought patterns and behaviors with positive alternatives. Together, we will analyze challenging situations in your daily life and develop practical strategies for new behaviors. We will also explore the origins of your patterns to enable a deeper understanding.
You can bill the sessions through your private health insurance. Please check with your insurance provider regarding coverage. Private insurers often cover the full cost, but some may only cover a limited number of sessions or a percentage of the cost. In such cases, a small self-payment may apply. Alternatively, you can choose to pay privately as a self-payer. This allows us to begin therapy immediately without waiting for approval or submitting applications.
As a self-payer, you can of course also cover the costs privately. This has the advantage that no applications or waiting times for approval are necessary and we can start the sessions immediately.
Psychotherapy is aimed at individuals with diagnosed mental health conditions and focuses on treating these illnesses. Coaching, on the other hand, is geared toward personal development and tackling specific challenges without a clinical diagnosis. Since coaching is not a medical treatment, its costs are generally not covered by health insurance. However, coaching expenses may be tax-deductible in certain cases.
